The Zuni create many different animals these days. Animals that they see during their daily lives that may not provide benefit or blessing. In creating some of these animals they attempt to get the figure as life like as possible thus featuring some of the finest carvings available. This Cat is approximately 1/2 inches wide by 1 3/4 inch high and is exquisitely carved of Black Marble. He has silver inlayed eyes and silver inlayed on his chest .
