The Zuni create many different animals these days. Animals that they see during their daily lives that may not provide benefit or blessing. In creating some of these animals they attempt to get the figure as life like as possible thus featuring some of the finest carvings available. This pair of lizards are approximately 1 1/2 inches high by 2 1/2 inches long. They are exquisitely carved with every detail even the rock they are perched on. They even have raised turquoise eyes. One is eating a leaf while the other has his tongue out. Hand carvedd by Zuni artist Jarvis Bellson this is a true asset to any collection.
